As of May 27, 2020
The safety and well-being of all Hoosiers Outrun Cancer participants, volunteers, event staff, sponsors, spectators and the public in general is always our top priority. As we initiate preparations for the 21st annual Hoosiers Outrun Cancer we’re closely monitoring the developments related to COVID-19. That includes staying in close contact with our partners and public officials to help us plan and execute an event that everyone can enjoy safely.
Based on the information available to us today, we have decided to hold off opening registration. It is our commitment to keep all participants informed so we will continue to provide frequent updates as we get closer to race day September 26th. Although, from time to time, various 2020 HOC 5K information may be sent via email or distributed through social media, please rely ONLY on information posted here as the most up to the minute official event status.
Join us for the 21st anniversary running of Bloomington Health Foundation’s Hoosiers Outrun Cancer 5K. One of the oldest and largest 5K events in Indiana!
Hoosiers Outrun Cancer (HOC) proudly supports members of our local community who are fighting cancer including patients, their family, and their friends. The Bloomington Health Foundation HOC Cancer Support Fund assists – at no charge – those in our community with needs beyond clinical care: massage therapy, art therapy, patient and family support groups, transportation assistance and more. Over the last 20 years, HOC has raised over $3 million to maintain these necessary resources right here in South Central Indiana. Thank you to our community partners and sponsors for their generosity and continued commitment to our cause!
We look forward to seeing you on September 26th at IU Memorial Stadium to run in memory of a loved one, walk in honor of someone battling cancer, or simply gather a fun team for a fantastic cause!
