How to Become a Team Captain 
& Set Up Your Team

  • Register yourself: During that process you'll have the option to "Create a team" — choose that and enter the details for your team. 
  • After registration, you'll receive an email confirmation of your team page link. Share this link as desired to invite others to join your team.  
  • Tell your members to register for the race by clicking the "Join" button on your team page. This will automatically assign them to your team during their registration process.  

 

TIP: If you have trouble finding your team page, you can always find it at this link - team captain can also go to the team page while signed in to Run Sign Up, and edit their page to add photo, text, or change settings related to the goal and scrolling list of donors to the team page.

Team Tailgating

Sign-Up for Your Spot Today!

Did you know you can reserve a parking space to set up your own tailgate at the race and to have a designated meeting location for your team. Sign-up now and reserve your parking place!

Editing Your Team Page After It’s Set Up:

  • Go to your team race page. You can find this in the email confirming your team when it was set up, OR you can search for your team page by name under “Top FunRaisers” tab on Hoosiers Outrun Cancer registration site menu. Here is the direct link to search for your team page.
  • Once you’re on your team race page, you’ll want to make sure you are signed into Run Sign Up with the correct email log in. If you are signed in, you’ll see “Manage” just to the right of our page name.
  • Click “Manage”, a drop-down menu will appear. Click “Edit HOC Team “FUN”raiser”.
  • Once here, you can adjust your team fundraising goal, edit the text on your team page, change your team name, and add a profile image to your team page.

*There is an option on this page to add a password to your team page. Unless you really want people to have to type in a password to join your team, please leave this field blank.

Team Captain Access to Team Reports

  • Go to your team race page. This link was provided in an email following your registration OR you can search for your own page by name under "Top FunRaisers" tab on the Hoosiers Outrun Cancer registration site menu.
  • Direct link to search for your page: https://runsignup.com/Race/Donate/126212/TopFundraisers#tab-topFundraisers 
  • Once you're on your team race page, you'll want to make sure you are signed into Run Sign Up. If you are signed in, you'll see "Manage" just to the right of your page name.  
  • Click "Manage", a drop down menu will appear. Click "View Roster". 
  • Scroll to the bottom of the roster page, and you will see a link to "Download All as CSV". This will provide you with an excel spreadsheet of your team roster. 

If You Want to Add or Change Your Team

    • Go to your individual race page. This link was provided in an email following your registration OR you can search for your own page by name under "Top FunRaisers" tab on the Hoosiers Outrun Cancer registration site menu. Direct link to this page is here.
    • Once you're on your individual race page, you'll want to make sure you are signed into Run Sign Up. If you are signed in, you'll see "Manage" just to the right of your page name.
    • Click "Manage", a drop down menu will appear. Click Edit FunRaiser.
    • Scroll to the bottom of the edit page, and you will see the HOC Team FunRaiser menu. There is a drop down list and search tool you may use to find the team you wish to join or click the toggle to the right to create a new team.

Add Photos to Your Team Page

      • Go to your team race page. You can find this in the email confirming your team when it was set up, OR you can search for your team page by name under “Top FunRaisers” tab on Hoosiers Outrun Cancer registration site menu. Direct link to search for your team page is here.
      • Once you’re on your team race page, you’ll want to make sure you are signed into Run Sign Up with the correct email log in. If you are signed in, you’ll see “Manage” just to the right of our page name.
      • Click “Manage”, a drop-down menu will appear. Click “Edit Slideshow”.
      • This will allow you to upload up to 10 photos to your team page that rotate as a slide show on your team page.

If You Want to Edit Your Registration Information

    • Go to Hoosiers Outrun Cancer Registration site

    • Sign into Run Sign Up and click the icon that looks like a circle with a person in it.

    • Then click the dropdown menu item that says "Profile".

    • Next scroll down and look under "Upcoming Events" to find your Hoosiers Outrun Cancer registrations. You may click "Manage" to the right any of your registrations (for yourself and family members you may have registered) to edit any detail you like, i.e. Shirt size, race type (5K, 1 Mile, or Spirit), e

Accessing Your Team Roster

Did you know you can view your team roster (and associated details like e-mail address and shirt size) directly from your team page? Here's how:

  1. Search for your team race page here.
  2. (Be sure you're signed into Run Sign-Up) Click "Manage" to the right of your page name, a drop down menu will appear.
  3. Click "View Roster". 
  4. Scroll to the bottom of the roster page, and you will see a link to "Download All as CSV". This will provide you with an excel spreadsheet of your team roster. 

Email Your Team Members

Need to connect with your team before the race? E-mail them directly from your team page? Here's how:

  1. Search for your team race page here.
  2. (Be sure you're signed into Run Sign-Up) Click "Manage" to the right of your page name, a drop down menu will appear.
  3. Click "View Roster"
  4. Select "Send E-mails" from the top menu
  5. Choose Email recipients:
    • Donors (anyone who has donated to your team page or the individual pages of your team members)
    • Fundraiser Team Members (All of your team members)
  6. Fill in the "Subject" line and "Write Your Email" box, and then click "Send Email" button at the bottom.

Why I Run...

This year Hoosiers Outrun Cancer is collecting stories from our loyal supporters, both induvial and businesses. These stories will be accompanied with a photo of the individual or race team, or a business or business logo. For sponsors, we are recommending this as a way to give the public a little deeper connection to your company values and the community impact made by your business.
