Race Day is  



Each year over 100 teams both large and small represent more than 3000 of the 5000 participants at Hoosiers Outrun Cancer.

Many teams have peoples names, some have school names, some have a company name, and some just have crazy made up names. But no matter what the team name the thing they have in common is they all have the same goal. That goal is to raise funds and awareness while showing their love and support for someone lost to Cancer, someone currently fighting Cancer, and to celebrate with all Cancer Survivors.

To get a team started all you need to do is have your Team Captain register themselves and your team's name by clicking on the Register and Create Team Name button below. Note: Additional team members can be registered with the team captain at the same time the team name is created.

By default the person to register and create the team name is considered the captain. The team captain is the one who takes charge to keep the ball rolling to make sure the rest of the team members get registered on time.  The HOC teams registration deadline is Thursday, 9/20/18 at 5pm.

As the team captain you have access to the team administration page which includes a list of all team members, their email addresses, tee shirt sizes etc. as well as an email tool that gives you the ability to send email messages to your whole team at once. The team captain is also the point of contact for our HOC teams coordinator. Any HOC event information specific to your team will communicated to you through your Team captain.

HOC offers all teams a convenient EARLY packet pickup option. During the registration process the team captain may choose the "team EARLY packet pickup option" or notify the HOC teams coordinator by email at HOC Teams Email no later than 9/20/18. If the team EARLY packet pickup option is selected then ALL of your team members race bibs, tee shirts, and swag bags will be kitted and made available for EARLY pickup. Any team that chooses EARLY pickup assumes responsibility to make sure everyone on your team receives their HOC packet. Team EARLY packet pickup is Wednesday, 9/26/18, 11am to 6pm at Harrell-Fish, Inc. 2010 Fountain Drive, Bloomington, IN 47404. (3 days prior to race day)

Anyone registered for any of the events count as team members ... hint-hint-"Spirit Runners". Invite family, friends, or co-workers both near and far to register for your team as a Spirit Runner. A Spirit Runner is anyone that wants to contribute to and support Hoosiers Outrun Cancer but either does not want to walk/run or maybe they simply can not join us on race day. Spirit Runners entry includes the event tee and race number.

In 2017 HOC began offering all teams the option of setting up an area for your team members to gather and relax after their event. The "HOC teams post race tailgate area" is part of the IU Memorial Stadium parking "Purple lot" and is located close to the Finish line. Team tailgate spots are by reservation only and require that all vehicles and tailgate materials are in their designated spot no later than 8am race morning.
